The Porter-Cable 690LF router is not a plunge router, but it is a standout at the top of the PC router list. This fixed base router is designed to be used by right-handers and left-handed people alike. The cuts are precise, the handles are second to none and with 1 3/4 horsepower on tap, this router can get the job done. I don’t have time right now to finish up this review (I will update it this weekend), but this router is truly awesome. Quiet and smoot operation and easy to use adujustments that are precise make this one of the top routers on my list.
